Introduction
The worst feeling in the world is flipping to the last page and reading the final words of the story you've grown to adore. The characters you wished were real are no longer there to guide you through life. Instead, they are placed on your bookshelf and checked off your to-read list. While some books are kept alive through live actions or remakes, a lot of them depend on you to spread their messages and live by them.
This is why I believe keeping these stories around is important, and what's a better way to accomplish that than by using them for decor around your home? Decor that reminds you of the deep messages you've learned from their story.
In this blog, I have examined subtle ways to incorporate literature into your home, something everyone should look for when they feel lost.
Subtle Decor Ideas Inspired by Literature
Door + Cabinet Knobs and Hinges
If I were to decorate a literature-inspired house from scratch, the dragonfly doorknobs would be in the kitchen, the birds would be in my bedroom, and the dragon would be in my workout area (Andarna or Tairn will encourage me to work out). The floral door hinge is so sneaky, it's a perfect way to be reminded of a story.
Lighting and Plug Plates
Something I've always wondered is why light switches were all the same. Especially when you have the choice to use a dragon or bear plug plate and a colorful light switch.
Kitchenware
The leaf plates give off the vibe of a fae world, like A Court of Thorns and Roses or The Cruel Prince! I've seen the wooden hot plates everywhere, and I do think they are quite lovely.
Practical Styling Tip of the Day - Christmas Theme
Let a projector wash your wall in twinkling lights or snowfall — instant ambience without clutter.

Personal Story
Looking back at my childhood room, I've noticed how much color there is and the decor I kept, from small messages hanging on my wall to the different art assignments in class. It all reminded me of how I got to where I am today. I am a regular college student with big dreams trying to figure out how to achieve them without ending up in a job I despise.
Recently, I have been finding encouragement through books and their lessons. Reading about everything they offer makes me feel like I can accomplish my goals. Unfortunately, feelings like stress constantly hold me back and make me forget about the lessons I've learned from books. This is why having reminders in the places you spend most of your time is important; it helps you stay strong. Even if they are small, like door handles or light switches! Together, we can find ways to keep stories and lessons alive
