Snowy mountain range at dusk with a pastel sky, yellow stars, text overlay on paper, and a pink heart. Calm and serene atmosphere.

As the new year begins and resolutions take hold, we must remember how artistic activities can enrich our minds. They will reduce stress, improve moods, keep your brain sharp, and so much more. Feyre uses art to help her cope with horrible memories, and while this is only one reason to look up to art, it's essential to remember that art will never fail to provide solace. That is why you should have a dedicated space for it. Read on to discover how to design a peaceful ACOTAR-inspired art studio, or arts and crafts area, with concepts, furniture, and decor pieces.

Feyre-Inspired Art Studio

The Artist Herself

Feyre Archeron, the main character of the series A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR), is known to have a deep love for painting. While this is such a small part of her character, it is something I have truly appreciated. In a world where she struggles to keep her family alive, she finds peace and comfort in something beautiful: art. A way for her to interpret her thoughts and express her feelings.

Her Creative Space

As of the latest book, Feyre has her very own art studio in her lovely new river house! In my interpretation, I imagine the room is serene, bright, and peaceful. Let me know how you imagine her river house art studio in the comments below!

Setting the Scene

You glide through the halls of the quiet river house until you make it to Feyre's art room. A breeze gently cracks the door open, almost as if it is inviting you in. You push past the door and are instantly consumed by sunlight. The warmth of it makes you smile. Slowly, your eyes adjust, and the serene room reveals itself.

Floor-to-ceiling windows view the bustling city of Velaris and the mountainous landscape beyond. One is slightly open and brings a gentle wind, accompanied by the sweet smell of Elain's flowers. Plants drape from different ledges of a beautiful, cathedral-like ceiling. A golden chandelier, with a variety of twinkling candles, hangs down the center of the room. And a few easels are spread across the empty floor.

Some contain art supplies and a blank canvas ready to portray Feyre's thoughts, while others are unfinished as if the portrait itself couldn't take anymore.

Walking deeper into the room, you see storage with different paint supplies, and a cozy corner to relax. Just when you were almost done absorbing everything, your eye catches a reflection of light. Turning towards it, you are hit with awe as you bestow upon the wall you entered, showcasing a gallery of Feyre's art.

Every piece shows something that has impacted her. They were all powerful moments stuck in time, a memory she couldn't forget. An overwhelming amount of emotions consumes you until you simply have to walk away.

Writer's Favorites

Referring back to my concept art, I found some pieces that would reflect it very well. I highlighted my favorites. While most of them were cute, my favorite is the suncatcher. I actually have one in my bedroom, which faces the sunrise, and it gives my mornings a little bit of magic!

Make your days a little more magical!
